Who we are and what this covers
Shipley Law Firm, PLLC (“we” or “us”) operates shipley-lawfirm.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. Information you share with us after you become a client is governed by our professional obligations and your engagement agreement.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, phone number, and, if you choose to provide them, your email address and a short description of what happened. The form is built with Gravity Forms. Submissions are stored in the website’s database and emailed to our office so we can respond. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the website. Until we have agreed to represent you, keep your message to the basics we need to call you back.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site and the services it runs on automatically receive some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, installed through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how people find and use the site. It records information such as pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, general location (city or region, not your street address), and how you arrived at the site.
We also record a few specific actions so we know which parts of the site help people reach us:
- Tapping a phone number or email link, and where on the page the link was
- Submitting the contact form (we record that a form was sent, not what it said)
- Tapping a Free Case Review button
- Using the Check Your Timeline tool on our injury pages. The date you enter stays in your browser. We record only a general range, such as 31 to 90 days, never the date itself.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with Google’s browser opt-out add-on.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how our ads perform. The pixel tells Meta when someone visits a page on this site and certain actions they take, such as tapping buttons or submitting the contact form. Meta may use this information to show our ads to people who have visited the site or who are similar to people who have, and to report results to us.
We do not send the contents of your form submission to Meta.
Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can manage how Meta uses information from other websites to show you ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Other services this site uses
- Website hosting. The site is hosted by WP Engine, whose servers receive standard technical information when pages load.
- Security. Cloudflare protects the site from attacks and automated traffic. It may set the security cookies listed below. Cloudflare describes them in its cookie documentation.
- Google Maps. The map on our contact page is provided by Google, which receives your IP address and browser information when the map loads.
- Google Fonts. Some of the site’s typefaces load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when they do.

You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop the site from working, but some features, like the map, may not load.
